Trouble with your debit card? We wish to advise that there is currently an ongoing issue at some merchant locations, as a result of a software update on their point of sale devices. Unfortunately, this is resulting in some cards being declined.  Interac is working with these merchants to implement a fix for this issue. More details are available here.

 In the meantime, if you experience an issue with your card splitting your transaction into smaller amounts may allow for contactless transactions (under $100). We also recommend trying to have cash on hand as a backup until this issue is resolved. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
